Production Scheduler

LHH is seeking a Production Scheduler to work in the Louisville KY, metro area. This position offers a variety of great

Production Scheduler coordinates resources including labor and machines to schedule production and assembly activities to achieve customer

requirements of quantity, quality and shipping schedules while adhering to safety, quality, and operational efficiency

requirements. He/She acts as interface between production, material requirement planning and shipping and distribution.

Responsibilities

Creates production schedule based on inventory levels and customer demandsCommunicates plan to production supervisorChecks production confirmations vs. production scheduleMonitors adherence to production schedulesMonitors production orders (delete obsolete production orders) changes due dates etc based on

requirementsManages control cycles (production control cycles)Demonstrates knowledge of capacities, cycles, and bottlenecks for the value streams.Demonstrates knowledge of material flow and product types to best optimize performance.Becomes the PMK (person most knowledgeable) of the scheduling and inventory systems and tools to make the voice of the customer visible to the plant floor.Ability to handle backup work from the other Production Schedulers is demonstrated.Collects, analyzes, interprets information from internal and external sources to initiates or adjust production/assembly activitiesEffective cooperation with other members of the company, including subordinates, peers or managers.

Qualifications:7+ years in manufacturing or supply chainB.S. degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management or equivalent

experience.Lean or Six Sigma stronlgy preferred
