An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Health Care Assistant to join the busy Colorectal Department based in Chingford.

This position will include a mixture of morning and afternoon/evening shifts with weekly variable hours and would be ideal as a second job.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Admin Duties

o Carry out stock checks when requested

o Be able to cover annual leave

· During Consultations/Clinics

o Prepare clinic rooms and clinical trolley for consultations

o Ensure clinic notes are ready for the doctor

o Check patients in for their appointments

o Call patients in for their appointment and assist clinician where necessary e.g. passing equipment

o Act as chaperone during consultations

o Fill out an outcome sheet to reflect what equipment has been used and what the outcome of the appointment is

o Ask patients to fill out a feedback form

o Clear the consultation room(s) at the end of the clinic and put away all equipment

o Ensure all paperwork is handed to the admin team in a timely manner e.g. onward referrals

o Inform the Manager of any stock running low

· Other:

o Attend regular team meetings and other relevant meetings or training relevant to the role as appropriate

o Any other duties appropriate to the post as might reasonably be requested from time to time
