The Opportunity
Sephora's Director of Content Operations is responsible for the operational structure, creative output, and overall shaping and running of Sephora's LA and SF studios. It will report to the Senior Director of Content Production, and work as a leader within the department to support marketing and brand needs at scale.
Primary
responsibilities include overseeing the operational needs of our in-house studios, post-production staffing including supplier management, execution & delivery of motion and still assets, departmental and cross-functional collaboration to guide processes, and general team leadership and development.
Lead and help shape a team of studio operators and internal/external content creators, while cultivating and supporting a collaborative cultureDevelop and scale content operations team output based on business demand/growth, agility, and financial expediency; provide context and clarity in support of newly defined and/or evolving processes, standards, and operating modelsManage post resources (production, editing, retouching) across all projects, inclusive of internal talent and outside vendors; maintain a bench of vendors and freelance talent to utilize as needed, dependent on project demandsOversee operations of three major stages and three photo studios, including supervision of crews and vendors during shoots and events at the studioManage equipment & resources for the team across all operational needs inclusive of studio bookings, photo, video, tailored computers, light room equipment, product comps & studio facilities needs (liaison to Facilities/Workplace operations) Oversee budgets, relying on
experience to review bids and negotiate rates in the best interest of SephoraRepresent and advocate for Content Operations needs across the business; champion our newly established social operating model to increase collaboration and agilityDefine and oversee end-to-end production workflows and pipelines for motion and still assetsResearch and understand current and emerging technologies and consider how to implement, innovate, and iterate

10+ years of
experience at a senior level in the studio, post-production, or content operations role, and 5+ years leadership
experience, preferably within a large-scale marketing or content orgAbility to lead and drive post-production of highly visible brand content, inclusive of motion/video and still assetsAbility to lead and drive large-scale studio operations inclusive of photo & video equipment as well as studio facility needsStrong network of post-production & studio resources, vendors, and independent contractor talent
Experience leading, managing, and mentoring a multi-hyphenate team at a Director levelUnderstanding of various content styles and business needs, including long-form and social content, OOH media, in-store branding and displays, broadcast advertising, live event production, and more
Experience working cross-functionally with various partners, suppliers, and leadersDeep knowledge of post-production & studio functions from pre-pro through delivery and archive Technical understanding of data and media workflows, asset management systems, editing, and retouching pipelines, photo, video & post production equipmentConfident and calm amidst change and ambiguity in a rapid-paced marketing org and content studioWorking knowledge of common industry software and project management tools (Microsoft Outlook, Office, Teams, Adobe Creative Cloud, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Frame.io, and others)Comfortable in a hybrid work environment and able to work from our Los Angeles studio two days per weekExceptional written and verbal communication

The Annual Base
salary range for this position is $156,400.00 - $174,800.00 The actual base
salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s
qualifications for the position; years of relevant
experience; specific and unique
skills; level of
education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic
location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. Sephora offers a generous
