We are currently hiring for a leading insurance company specializing in auto insurance coverage. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction and prompt claims resolution, they have built a reputation for excellence in the industry. As they continue to expand our operations, we are seeking an
experienced and detail-oriented Claims Examiner with expertise in assessing auto damage to join our team.
100% Remote with Restrictions - this individual will need to go on-site for 3 weeks to train before going 100% remote
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of
experience as an Auto Claims Examiner, with expertise in assessing auto damage In-depth knowledge of auto insurance policies, coverage, and claim settlement procedures Strong analytical
skills with the ability to evaluate and interpret repair estimates and invoices accurately Excellent communication
skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely Proficient in using claims management systems and other relevant software applications Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple claims and prioritize workload effectively Understanding of state-specific insurance regulations and compliance
requirements Professional certifications, such as AIC (Associate in Claims) or CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter), are a plus but NOT required
Job Description: :
As an Auto Claims Examiner, you will be responsible for accurately assessing and processing auto insurance claims. Your role will involve investigating and evaluating the extent of auto damage, coordinating with various parties involved, and ensuring timely and fair claim settlements. This position requires a strong understanding of auto insurance policies, excellent analytical
skills, and the ability to work efficiently to provide outstanding customer service.
Review and analyze auto insurance claims to determine coverage, liability, and the extent of damage. Conduct thorough investigations, including gathering accident reports, photos, and statements from involved parties. Evaluate repair estimates and assess the reasonableness of costs based on industry standards and guidelines. Coordinate with field adjusters, repair shops, and other relevant parties to obtain necessary information for claim evaluation. Communicate with policyholders, claimants, and other stakeholders to gather additional details and clarify information. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory
requirements throughout the claims process. Negotiate settlements with claimants, considering liability, policy limits, and applicable laws. Prepare accurate and detailed claim reports, including supporting documentation and settlement calculations. Work closely with internal teams, such as underwriters and legal counsel, to resolve complex or disputed claims. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, providing claim status updates, and resolving issues promptly. Identify potential fraud indicators and escalate suspicious claims to the appropriate department.
